Biography

Miguel A. Cardenas graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ with a major in Philosophy with a concentration in Politics, Morality, and Law. He earned his Juris Doctor at Western Michigan University Law School and earned the Certificate of Merit for his Trial Skills class and earned the Leadership Award voted by his peers. Miguel served as a student attorney for the Washtenaw County Public Defender Clinic. During his time in Law School he was employed by The Michigan State Attorney General's Office Expungement Unit. He was treasurer of the Health Law Society, a Moot Court competitor, and Board Member of the Student Bar Association.

He joined EBD Lawyers in 2024 as an associate attorney and has worked on a variety of matters in employment and commercial litigation. These include partnership disputes, contract disputes, employee handbooks, employment agreements, trade secret and proprietary information issues, as well as discrimination claims and wrongful discharge issues. In addition to his legal talent, Miguel is known for his strong communication skills, ensuring that clients are well-informed and comfortable throughout the legal process. He approaches each case with empathy and determination, understanding the significance of seeking justice for those who have been wronged.

As the son of Mexican immigrants, he is fluent in Spanish. In his free time, Miguel enjoys spending time with his family, friends and golfing.
